I went to this camp four times, moving up a level each year. I loved getting to cook all the different dishes and I still use the recipes. I'm in third year now and Home Economics is one of my favourite subjects, especially the cooking part, because I already knew the basics coming into 1st year which made it much easier. I'd definitely recommend this camp to anyone who enjoys cooking or wants to get better at it.
Faye has been going to Smart Cooking Academy Camp for the past three summers and absolutely loves it. She's learned so much, the teachers are fantastic, and she's always had a great time. We've been very impressed with how confident she is now in the kitchen and with the range of dinners and desserts she can cook, we especially love her vegetarian curry! I love going to Smart Cooking Academy. It's really fun and has helped me become much better at cooking. The teachers are amazing, and I've learned how to make great rice and pasta dishes, cakes, and other desserts. My cousin goes too, which makes it even more fun. I'm really looking forward to going back again this year.
Two of our kids took part in these camps - one did the Busy Bee and the other participated in the Level 1. Both still rave about how good they were and how much fun they had. It was a great confidence builder. And the food was top notch!
I can’t recommend SCA highly enough, my two girls have learnt skills for life in a really fun environment, and more importantly have a real love for cooking and eating well now!
My daughter attended this camp for four consecutive years, and it was without a doubt the highlight of her summer each time. I certainly didn’t mind having a week off from cooking! She still draws on the skills that Martina and the team taught her. I would highly recommend this camp to anyone with an interest in cooking.
